GLORIA SELLERS,
97, of Lauderhill,
Fla., formerly of
Southfield, died
June 21, 2023.
She is survived
by her son, David Sellers;
daughter and son-in-law,
Andrea and Chris Reichardt
Sellers; grandchildren, Heidi
(Aaron) Vangelisti and Marc
Reichardt; great-grandchildren,
Bryanna and Zachary; sister-in-
law, Rosalind Chalnick.
Mrs. Sellers was the beloved
wife of the late James Sellers;
daughter of the late Edmund
and Sarah Wiener; sister of the
late Dorothy Berns; sister-in-
law of the late Harriet Gluck;
cousin of the late Allen Berk,
Ernie Berk and Helen Budman.
Contributions may be made
to a charity of one’s choice.
Interment took place at
Clover Hill Park Cemetery in
Birmingham. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
TRUDY SHAPIRO,
85, of West
Bloomfield, died
June 22, 2023.
She lived an
exemplary life, ded-
icated to family and friends and
always thinking of others first.
She was a very skilled legal
secretary from the time she was
18 years old and volunteered
for many organizations. Trudy
deeply touched the lives of
everyone she knew and will be
greatly missed.
Mrs. Shapiro is survived by
her beloved husband, Harold
Shapiro; daughters and son-
in-law, Lori Shapiro, Linda
and Brian Shapiro; grandchil-
dren, Eric Lipshaw, Stephen
Lipshaw, Ian Schlager and Levi
Schlager; sister and brother-in-
law, Marsha and Leon Botkin;
nieces and nephews, Rob (Jan)
Goldfarb, Emily (Scott) Balloff
and David (Catherine) Botkin;
many other loving family mem-
bers and friends.
Interment was held at
Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia.

BETTY SMITH, 92,
of Tamarac, Fla.,
died on June 2,
2023.
Betty was born in
Brooklyn, N.Y., and
raised her family in Great Neck,
N.Y., before moving to Silver
Springs, Md., where she had a
career with Sears.
She retired to Tamarac
with her husband of 65 years,
Al. Throughout her time in
Tamarac, Betty volunteered for
City of Hope and most recently
the Women’s Club.
She is survived by her son,
Joel (Jackie) Smith; daughters,
Susan (Carl) Denicolis, Ronni
(the late Steven) Welsch; grand-
children, Jennifer (Jimmy)
Rhein, Jacob (Amanda) Smith,
Eric (Madi) Denicolis, Michelle
(P.J.) Denicolis, Jeffrey (Mandy)
Welsch and the late Howard
Welsch; great-grandchildren,
Owen, Colin and Maggie; many
loving nieces, nephews and
their families.
