LINDA BURDICK, 76, died
June 18, 2023, in New York City
at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center.
Linda, who lived in New
York City, was a Detroit native
and earned an undergradu-
ate and M.S.W. degree at the
University of Michigan. She
was in the process of obtain-
ing a Ph.D. She had been an
adjunct professor at LaGuardia
Community College in Queens,
New York, and at SUNY (State
University of New York.)
She was preceded in death by
her father, Judge Irwin Burdick;
mother, Jeannette Burdick; and
her twin sister, Laura Burdick
Sherman, who passed away in
2015.
A beloved mother, sister and
aunt, Linda is survived by her
daughter, Daniele De Leone;
her sister, Alice (Burdick)
Schweiger; brother-in-law,
Bruce Schweiger; her niece,
Melissa Schweiger Kleinman;
and her two sons, Jonah
and Ilan; her nephew, Eric
Schweiger; and his two daugh-
ters, Sophie and Sydney. She is
also survived by her brother-in-
law, Mark Sherman, and niece,
Sabrina Sherman.
The burial was held at the
Mt. Richmond Cemetery in
Staten Island,
MARCIA BUCH,
85, of Farmington
Hills, died June 17,
2023.
She is survived
by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Julie and Marc
Greenberger, and Laurie and
Geoff Saham; grandchildren,
Erin Greenberger, Jonathan
Greenberger, Steven Saham,
Ian Saham, Lexi Greenberger,
Ellie Saham and Mitchell
Greenberger; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Betsy and Joel
Cohen; many other loving fam-
ily members and friends.
Mrs. Buch was the beloved
wife of the late Alvin Buch.
Contributions may be
made to the American Cancer
Society. Interment took place at
Clover Hill Park Cemetery in
Birmingham. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
BARBARA COHEN, 80, of
Farmington Hills, died June 18,
2023.
She was a well-loved first-
grade teacher in the Detroit
Public Schools.
Mrs. Cohen is survived by
her daughters, Nancy Cohen
and Laurel Cohen; son and
daughter-in-law, David and
Joyce Cohen; grandchildren,
Timothy Cohen, Hale Cohen
and Theodore Cohen; brother
and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert
and Andrea Stoler.
She was the beloved wife
for 51 years of the late Harvey
Cohen; the devoted daughter
of the late Sam and the late
Roselee Stoler.
Interment was at Beth El
