DR. SEYMOUR 
BAXTER, 91, of 
Bloomfield Hills, 
died June 12, 
2023.
 Dr. Baxter 
is survived by his sons 
and daughters-in-law, Dr. 
Alexander Baxter, Daniel 
Baxter and Bridget Brown, 
and David and Shannon 
Baxter; grandchildren, Noah, 
Billie, Echo and Max Baxter; 
sister-in-law, Carole Baxter; 
brother-in-law, Dr. Gerald 
Weintraub. 
He was the beloved hus-
band for 54 years of the late 
Anita Baxter; the loving 
brother of the late Theodore 
Baxter; the dear brother-in-
law of the late Sylvia and the 
late Professor Melvin Tumin, 
and the late Dr. Rosalyn 
Weintraub. 
Interment was at Adat 
Shalom Memorial Park. 
Contributions may be 
made to a charity of one’s 
choice. Arrangements by Ira 
Kaufman Chapel.

ISRAEL YEHUDA ARIEL 
BROWNER, 85, of West 
Bloomfield, died May 13, 
2023. 
He was born on April 17, 
1938, in Detroit to the union 
of Corrinena (Washington) 
Browner and William 
Ellingsworth Browner.
Israel graduated Miller 
High School and attended 
Highland Park Community 
College. He retired from 
the city of Detroit after 
35+ years as a plumbing 
inspector and worked as a 
licensed contractor (Browner 
Plumbing) and a Master 
(Journeyman) Plumber for 
the Plumbers Local Union 
98. He was a military ser-
vice veteran that served as a
