BETTY SMITH, 92,
of Tamarac, Fla.,
died on June 2,
2023.
She was born in
Brooklyn, N.Y., and
raised her family in Great Neck,
N.Y., before moving to Silver
Springs, Md., where she had a
career with Sears. She retired to
Tamarac, Fla., with her husband
of 65 years, Al. Throughout
her time in Tamarac, Betty
volunteered for City of Hope
and most recently the Women’s
Club.
Mrs. Smith is survived by
her son, Joel (Jackie) Smith;
daughters, Susan (Carl)
Denicolis, Ronni (the late
Steven) Welsch; grandchildren,
Jennifer (Jimmy) Rhein, Jacob
(Amanda) Smith, Eric (Madi)
Denicolis, Michelle (P.J.)
Denicolis, Jeffrey (Mandy)
Welsch; great-grandchildren,
Owen, Colin and Maggie; many
loving nieces and nephews and
their families.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Al Smith; sister of the
late Elaine Smith and the late
Laura Hofberg; grandmother of
the late Howard Welsch.

STEWART, 86, of
Boynton Beach, Fla.,
passed away on June
4, 2023.
Born and raised
in Detroit, Bob
worked in the “shmata” business
for many years, mostly for the
iconic Members Only jackets.
He left the clothing industry to
start his own small business,
Atlantic Boatlifts. He then
worked for Southeast Marine
until retiring only a few years
ago.
When not working, Bob loved
his motorcycles, boats, watching
old movies on TV and action
movies in the theater. He will be
deeply missed.
Mr. Stewart is survived by
his loving wife, Vicky; children,
Karyn (Marty), Joely (David)
and Sashkya (Eduardo);
grandchildren, Josh, Noah, Eric
and Sammy; sister, Bernice;
sister-in-law, Itzel; brother-in-
law, Isaac; many nieces and
nephews, including Sharon
(Alan), Arlene (Tony); countless
friends, some dating back more
than 75 years; former spouse,
Beverly (Irwin).
Bob was preceded in death by
his son, Gary; and his parents,
Harriet and Roy Stewart.
