ROGER M. BLAU
of Marco Island,
Fla., passed away
May 31, 2023.
He was the lov-
ing husband of
Joanne Blau; father of Tammy,
Ben and Jeff; grandfather of
Drake, Griffin, Tessa, Annalicia
and Sofia; brother of Dr. Larry
(Diane) Blau of Santa Barbara,
Calif.
Mr. Blau was born Sept. 12,
1945, in Detroit to Rose and
Ben Blau. He was the brother
of the late Elaine Yanitz and the
late Eleanor Rabin.
Interment was in Florida.

TAMARA
“TAMME”
MITCHELL COHN,
of Los Angeles,
Calif., 89, died on
April 8, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of
the late Gary D. Cohn. Her par-
ents, Max and Frances Mitchell;
and her brother, Eugene “Gene”
Mitchell, also preceded her in
death.
Tamara was the loving mom
of Marty (Debbie) of Agoura
Hills, Calif., Audrey (Chuck
Kinzer) of Livermore, Calif.,
and Joanne (Jeff Levine), also of
Livermore. She was the beloved
“Grams” of Avi, Alona, Aaron,
Joseph (Bridget), Noah, Jacob
and Sarah. She is also sur-
vived by her sister-in-law, Sue
Mitchell; nieces, nephews and
friends.
Tamme is buried along-
side Gary D. Cohn at Eden
Memorial Cemetery, Mission
Hills, Calif. If you would like
to honor her memory, consider
donating to any Jewish organi-
zation or to Myasthenia Gravis.

MEL ETTENSON,
89, of Bingham
Farms, died May 10,
2023.
He was a well-
accomplished man
in his personal and professional
lives. He was a pioneer in the
plastics industry, who loved
mentoring new business owners.
Mel lived a “life well lived;” he
was an exceptional father and
husband.
Mr. Ettesnon was the beloved
husband of Sharon Ettenson;
cherished father of Joyce Peters
(fiancé Ron), Kara Ettenson
(Paul Finegold) and Susan
Ettenson; brother-in-law of Alice
Ettenson, Don Mendelssohn
and Alan Mendelssohn. He was
adored by many loving cousins,
lifelong friends, nieces and neph-
ews.
He was the devoted son of the
late Abraham and the late Ida
Ettenson; dear brother of the late
Paul Ettenson.

A private family graveside
funeral was held at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park, followed
by a private family shivah.
Arrangements were made by
Ira Kaufman Chapel. Rabbi
Matthew Zerwekh officiated.
To further honor his memory,
charitable contributions may be
made to SCORE of Southeast
Michigan or Michigan Radio of
Ann Arbor.

GREENFIELD, 97,
of West Bloomfield,
died June 2, 2023.
She is survived by
her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Jeremy and Ellen
Greenfield; daughters and son-
in-law, Dr. Francine Greenfield
and Mitch Abelson, and Jennifer
Margo Greenfield (formerly
known as Jennifer Schneider
Weldon); grandchildren, Alex
