Chapter of the Year

The Detroit NCSY Chapter board is very proud to have earned the
coveted COTY (Chapter of the Year) award on the weekend of May

Chapter Board are President Micah Adler, and Vice Presidents
Matthew Shamayev and Eli Kanner.

Ride for the Living 2023
Registration is now open for Federation’s Israel & Overseas
Department Ride for the Living at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 9.
This special Sunday morning is for riders of all ages and
skill levels. Everyone from Slow Rollers (averaging 11-12
mph), Cruisers (averaging 13-15 mph) and Chasers (averaging
16-18 mph) are welcome.
The Krakow JCC’s annual Ride for the Living from
Auschwitz to the city of Krakow commemorates Jewish history
and celebrates the miraculous rebirth of Jewish life in Poland
today. Detroit’s corresponding ride (approximately 30 miles) is
Jewish Detroit’s own way to commemorate and celebrate. Plus,
proceeds from the ride will directly benefit the Krakow JCC
and its work with Ukrainian refugees through Federation’s
partner agency the JDC.
The ride starts at Ferndale’s Gerry Kulick Community
Center and will roll to the Detroit Riverfront, then finish (at
your own pace) back at Ferndale Project for food and drinks.
Registration fee includes a Ride for the Living fanny pack and
one drink voucher. Register at https://jlive.app/events/4203.
