William Hafer are thrilled 
to announce the engagement 
of their children Alexandra 
Kay Hafer and Geoffrey David 
Horowitz.
Alexandra received her 
bachelor’s degree in English 
from the University of San 
Diego and is a fourth-grade 
teacher in the Chicago Public 
School System. She will be 
starting a master’s degree program in linguistics at 
Michigan State University in the fall.
Geoffrey received his B.B.A. from Emory University 
and master’s degrees in engineering and computer 
science from Georgia Tech. He works as a robotics 
researcher at Ford Motor Company. 
Alex and Geoffrey reside in Chicago. A July wedding 
is planned.
