She is the daughter of Jeff 
and Alicia Chandler, the 
sister of Brady Chandler, 
and the granddaughter of 
Mark and Elaine 
Blumenfeld, and Patricia 
and Alan Chandler.
Morgan is a 
seventh-grader at 
Derby Middle School 
in Birmingham. For her 
bat mitzvah, she is rais-
ing money for the Chick 
Mission, an organization 
that assists women with 
cancer in preserving their 
fertility (www.morganchan-
dler13.com). 

Madelyn Reese 
Fienman, 
daughter of 
Tracie and Dr. 
Adam Fienman, 
will be called to 
the Torah as a bat mitzvah 
at Temple Israel in West 
Bloomfield on Saturday, 
June 3, 2023. She will be 
joined in celebration by her 
sister Hannah and her 
brothers Blake and Levi. 
Madelyn is the loving 
grandchild of Linda and 
Howard Goldman, and 
Caryn and Howard 
Fienman. 
She is a student at 
Berkshire Middle School 
in Beverly Hills. Madelyn’s 
most meaningful mitzvah 
project was baking and 
selling dog treats and 
assembling care packages 
for foster families of Almost 
Home Animal Rescue.

Katie Gabrielle 
Singer, daugh-
ter of Diana and 
Eran Singer, will 
become a bat 
mitzvah at 
Temple Shir Shalom in 
West Bloomfield on 
Saturday, June 3, 2023. 
She will be joined in cele-
bration by her sister Sarah. 
Katie is the loving grand-
child of Gerald and Myra 
Ruckert, and Dr. Stanford 
and Judith Singer. 
Katie is a student at 
Warner Middle School in 
Farmington Hills. For her 
mitzvah project, she has 
been collecting and donat-
ing supplies to various ani-
mal rescue organizations in 
the Metro Detroit area.

Sophia Bella 
Squarcia, 
daughter of Lisa 
Squarcia, will be 
called to the 
Torah as a bat 
mitzvah at Temple Israel in 
West Bloomfield on Friday, 
June 2, 2023. She will be 
joined in celebration by her 
siblings Joe, Lina, Aidan 
and Austin. Sophia is the 
loving great-grandchild of 
Nanci and the late Jerry 
Weisman. 
She is a student at Hillel 
Day School of Metropolitan 
Detroit in Farmington 
Hills. Sophia’s most mean-
ingful mitzvah project 
was leading a Feminine 
Hygiene Product Drive to 
benefit Common Ground, 
a 24-hour crisis services 
agency dedicated to help-
ing youths, adults and fami-
lies in crisis.
