MICHELE “MIKE” COZZETTO, 82, of West Bloomfield, died April 22, 2023. HERMAN GOLDSMITH, 91, of Waterford, died April 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving fam- ily. A native Detroiter, Herman held many jobs, but he’s best known as the owner of Joe’s Army Navy stores. He prided himself on his work ethic, and even when he retired he continued to go into the store every day because it brought him so much joy. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Barbara Goldsmith; his children, Dana and Gail Lawrence, Jemmis and Bob Lawrence-Plant, and Jeff and Sue Goldsmith; his grand- children, Noah and Megan Lawrence, Collin and Liza Lawrence, Robin and Rachel Lawrence, Alec Goldsmith, Sophie Lawrence, Samantha Goldsmith and Sarah Plant; his great-grandchildren, Alonzo, Victor, Clio, Alexis, Astrid and Mavis. Mr. Goldsmith was prede- ceased by his parents, Anna and Morris Goldsmith; his brothers, Thomas Goldsmith and Harvey Goldsmith; and great-granddaughter, Beatrix Lawrence.
