He was the beloved hus-
band of Sydney L. Rose for 
56 years; cherished father of 
Scott (Rachel) Rose, Stephanie 
(Dr. Joshua) Goldberg and 
Carrie (Dr. Frederic) Goldman; 
proud grandfather of Aaron 
and Ryan Rose, Spencer, Sadie 
and Hannah Goldberg, and 
Eliza and Nathan Goldman; 
dear brother-in-law of William 
(Victoria) Becker and Julie 
Becker; devoted son of the late 
Emil and Shirley Rose; and 
devoted son-in-law of the late 
Lawrence and Mildred Becker. 
David was a resident of 
Bloomfield Hills for 45 years. 
He was a longtime member 
of Temple Beth El, a long-
time member of Franklin 

Hills Country Club, a Club 
Champion, and a six-time Club 
Champion finalist. He was for-
merly chairman of the board of 
Grinnell Brothers Inc., a 63-store 
music store chain, and executive 
vice president of Rose Jewelry 
Company. David became a 
successful real estate developer 
later in his life. He was proud 
that his creativity through real 
estate development employed 
hundreds of people. David was 
most proud of the closeness of 
his family, and his children’s and 
his grandchildren’s academic 
and athletic achievements. 
Interment was at Beth El 
Memorial Park. Contributions

She is survived by her daugh-

of Oak Park, Tzvi and Chani 
Sendler of Oak Park; sister, 
Charlotte Dubin of Oak Park; 
sister-in-law, Geraldine Hyams; 
many loving grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sendler was the beloved 
wife of the late Simson Sendler; 
dear sister and sister-in-law of 
the late Jonathan David Hyams, 

the late Alfred Hyams, the late 
Harold Dubin.
