BILL BERLIN, formerly of
Port Huron and Florida,
died March 16, 2023, in San
Diego, Calif. He is survived by
his wife of 68 years, Harriet;
children, Sharon and David
Wax, Steven and Robin Berlin;
four grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren.
CONSTANCE
“CONNIE”
DRESCHER, 92,
formerly of Port
Huron, passed
away peacefully
with family by her side in her
home in Bellevue, Wash., on
March 18, 2023.
Connie was born in Detroit
on Aug. 6, 1930, the eldest
daughter of Rubin and Dora
(Gutkovsky) Fischhoff. She
became an educator, working
in the Port Huron schools for
many years. She was deeply
passionate about literature, art
and theater.
After her sons were grown,
Connie pursued her love of
travel. Israel, China, Turkey,
Morocco and Spain are among
the many countries she visited,
with a particular interest in
art and culture. In her retire-
ment, Connie moved to the All
Seasons in West Bloomfield
and then to the Bellettini in
Bellevue.
Connie treasured her family
and the many friends she made
over the years. Her lively spirit
and sense of humor will be
deeply missed.
She is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Charles
and Robin Drescher; grandson,
Max (Natalia) Drescher; sister
and brother-in-law, Clara and
Harvey Gordon; many beloved
nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Drescher was preceded
in death by her loving husband,
Philip Drescher; and son, Peter
Drescher.
Contributions may be
made to the Jewish National
Fund, to the University of
Michigan School of Education
or to National Public Radio.
Interment was held at Clover
Hill Park Cemetery in
Birmingham. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

FREEDMAN, 92,
died March 14,
2023.
He is survived
by his daughters
and sons-in-law, Wendy and
Mark Resnick, and Shelley
and Marc Littman; son,
Jeffrey Freedman; grandchil-
dren, Aaron Resnick, Justin
Resnick, Ben Littman, Sean
and Ilana Littman of Ramat
Bet Shemesh, Israel, and Elliot
Littman; great-grandchildren,
Tamar, Emunah, Tzofia and
Ahuva Littman of Ramat
Bet Shemesh; brother and
sister-in-law, Dr. Arthur and
Debra Freedman; sister, Ruby
Eichler; sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Lois Spector-
Freeman and Alan Freeman.
He is also survived by his
great-granddog daughter,
Daisy Gamble; many loving
nieces, nephews, cousins and a
world of friends near and far.
Mr. Freedman was the
beloved husband for 66½
years of the late Arlene
