degree from the University
of Michigan and a master’s
degree from Touro University
Nevada. Her career began at
Tamarack Camps, where she
ran family camp weekends and
oversaw camper recruitment.
Rachel then worked for Gesher
Human Services, coaching
young Jewish adults in finding
satisfying employment, running
professional networking events,
strategically connecting with
area businesses, and creating
and hosting the “Rachel and
the Recruiters” series of video
interviews.
Continuing to promote
personal and professional self-
improvement, Rachel worked
as a performance coach at
Dale Carnegie Training. Now
residing in Berkley, Rachel
continues to elevate her
community as the membership
engagement manager for
the Birmingham Bloomfield
Chamber of Commerce and
as a participant in Leadership
Oakland.
Rachel has served on
committees of the Jewish
Working Women’s Network,
Partners in Torah Young
Adults and Tamarack Camps’
Alumni. She has volunteered
her time and expertise to speak
to students at Farber Hebrew
Day School, MSU Hillel and
Wayne State University Hillel
on employment strategies and
living a Jewish life post-college.
As a career and later as a
passion project, Rachel has
helped hundreds of individuals
elevate their personal and
professional lives through
guidance, resume review, cover
letter creation and interview
preparation.
Stepping beyond her Jewish
community, Rachel has been
volunteering bi-monthly nearly
four years for Henry Ford’s
SandCastles grief support
program, as well as regularly
donating blood for almost three

years. Rachel has donated 16
units (2 gallons) of blood; 15
of those units were given since
COVID-19 began.
Rachel is grateful to have
been raised in Jewish Metro
Detroit, which has inspired her
passion for building welcoming
community and her devotion
to enhancing our local Jewish
community.
She loves finding small
boutiques in Metro Detroit. A
dream day for her is grabbing a
delicious cup of coffee, walking
around a small town, shopping
at small businesses and going
out to eat.
