MALAMUD, 83, 
of Las Vegas, 
Nev., formerly of 
Detroit, died 
peacefully in Las 
Vegas on Jan. 15, 2023. 
He was born in Detroit 
on Nov. 22, 1940, to Reba 
and Samuel Malamud. James 
lived for the last 30 years in 
Las Vegas and enjoyed visits 
from his daughter, eating a 
good burger and making a 
bad joke. 
Mr. Malamud is survived 
by his daughter and son-in-
law, Hollie “Beth” Malamud 
and Christopher Kelsch of 
Winters, Calif. 
Contributions may be made 
to Compassion Care Hospice 
in Las Vegas, Nevada; Hebrew 
Free Loan; or to an animal 
rescue organization of one’s 
choice. A graveside service 

was held at Hebrew Memorial 
Park. Arrangements by 
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

PEARLMAN, 78, 
of Huntington 
Woods, died Jan. 
3, 2023. 
She is survived 
by her daughters 
and son-in-law, Jodie and 
Peter Berkman, and Emily 
Green; son and daughter-
in-law, Joshua and Beth 
Pearlman; grandchildren, 
Nicole, Caroline and Bradley 
Berkman, Jack and Carly 
Pearlman, and Daisy Green; 
sisters and brothers, Lauren 
Weingarden, Dayle and Jay 
Prinstein, Sheldon and Judy 
Klein, and Janice and Mark 
Kettler; brother-in-law and 
sister-in-law, Sheldon and 
Judy Pearlman; many loving 
nieces, nephews, cousins and 

a world of friends. 
Mrs. Pearlman was the 
devoted daughter of the 
late Shirley Davidson, and 
Libby and the late George 
Weingarden; the beloved wife 
of the late Allan J. Pearlman; 
and the dear sister-in-law of 
the late Mark Pearlman. 
Interment was at Clover 
Hill Park Cemetery.
