at the Landfall Tradition at the
Country Club of Landfall in
Wilmington, N.C., shooting
1-over-par 71-73-73—217
to tie for 31st place. The No.
33-ranked Wolverines finished

U-M will begin the spring
portion of its schedule — always
the most important part —
by playing in the Collegiate
Invitational on Feb. 5-6 at
Guadalajara Country Club
in Mexico. The Wolverines
will defend their Big Ten
championship April 21-23 at
Fox Chapel.
Schulz was the co-medalist at
the 2021 Wolverine Invitational,
played in the fall at the U-M
course. She shot 3-under
68-70-72—210. That individual
victory, the second of her U-M
career, still resonates with her.
“Winning that tournament

showed me I can win at this
level and how far my game had
come,
” she said. “It redefined
my expectations.
”
Schulz was a three-time
Michigan Interscholastic Golf
Coaches Association Super
Team member (2016-18) during
her high school golf career.
She played in four Division
1 state tournaments for
Bloomfield Hills, leading the
Black Hawks to three top-five
team finishes. She was the
individual runner-up in 2016
and 2018.
Golf is in Schulz’s blood. She’s
the daughter of former U-M
golfer Rachel (Krickstein) and
is a cousin of professional
golfers Morgan and Madison
Pressel. Her father is Mark
Schulz.
