Shelley (Reinstein) and Eliot Silver 
of Los Angeles, Calif., joyously 
announce the birth of their daughter, 
Isabel Drew (Devira Irit). Shelley 
is the daughter of Natie and Alan 
Reinstein of Farmington Hills, and 
Eliot is the son of Patty and Michael 
Silver of Los Angeles. Isabel was 
named in beloved memory of Eliot’s 
grandfather Irving and for Shelley’s 
beloved grandmother Dora.

Hannelore Rae Hurwitz, daughter of 
Rebecca and Sean Hurwitz, will lead 
the congregation in prayer as she 
becomes a bat mitzvah at Temple 
Israel in West Bloomfield on Friday, 
Jan. 6, 2023. She will be joined 
in celebration by her sisters Kylie, 
Tristan and Lindsey. Hannelore is the 
loving grandchild of Maureen and 
Bernard Hurwitz, and Phyllis and the 
late Harold Reiten. 
Hannelore is a student at Novi Middle School. Her 
most meaningful mitzvah project was donating her time 
to cancer research, treatments and supportive services 
with Karmanos Cancer Institute.
