Mrs. Schaefer was the 
beloved wife of the late 
Ken Schaefer; daughter of 
the late Susan Leiter and 
the late Sam Leiter; sister 
of the late Matthew Leiter; 
granddaughter of the late 
Mary and the late Jerry Leiter, 
the late Henry and the late 
Doris Wechsler; niece of the 
late James Wechsler. 
Interment was held at Beth 
El Memorial Park Cemetery in 
Livonia. Contributions may be

Society or to the Leukemia 
and Lymphoma Society.

ELISABETH 
SHUBOW, 74, of 
West Bloomfield, 
died Dec. 14, 
2022. 

She was born on May 16, 
1948, in Detroit to S. Lawrence 
and Dolores Aronsson. She 
married the love of her life, 
Robert Shubow, in 1969. Bob 
and Lis went on to have two 
cherished daughters, Jennifer 
and Lauren.
Lis received her master’s 
degree in information and 
library science from the 
University of Michigan and 
became one of the most 
beloved librarians at the West 
Bloomfield Public Library.
She is survived by her 
husband, Robert; her 
children, Jennifer and James 
Shubow, and Lauren and 
Mark Shubow; her sisters 
and brothers-in-law, Patricia 
and Emanual Aronsson, and 
Joyce and Ernest Aronsson; 
her nieces and nephews, 
Julie, Jeremy, Jason and Yoko,
