ELIAHU “
ALLIE” HERSHEL
KARBAL, 34, of Chicago,
Ill., passed away Dec. 3,
2022, due to liver failure,
after an eight-year struggle
following a liver transplant.
Allie was born on May 29,
1988. He was a resourceful
entrepreneur in the luxury
industry, working for years
beside the Miller brothers.
He knew something about
pretty much everything
from science to the stock
market, fitches to billiards
and IT to art, making him
a great friend to talk with.
Allie had a brilliant mind
and an innate understand-
ing of how things worked;
he was the go-to brother to
fix everything and anything
when it broke.
He loved fishing and
camping at Apple Canyon
and was always the first one
to catch a frog. Allie had
a wicked smart sense of
humor and innately knew
how to find a way into your

heart. He would beat you in
poker one minute and then
ask for a sandwich to clear
the debt. Allie will be sore-
ly missed by all who were
lucky enough to know him.
May his memory be for a
blessing.
Mr. Karbal is survived by
his mother, Jan Zausmer
(Rabbi Michael Schorin);
father, Bruce Karbal (Mary);
sweet, sweet brothers, Aryeh
Karbal (Naomi Kurtz),
Shlomo Karbal (Dashiell
Bark-Huss) and Mickey
Karbal.
Services were held.
Interment was at Sunset
Memorial Lawns in
Northbrook, Ill. In lieu of
flowers, please make con-
tributions to JUF Chicago
(who provided camp
scholarships to the boys);
Jewish United Fund/Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan
Chicago, 30 S. Wells St.,
Chicago, IL 60606, juf.org.
Arrangements by Chicago
