KESSLER, 93, of
Huntington
Woods, died Nov.
9, 2022.
She is survived
by her daughters and son-
in-law, Amy Kessler, and Dr.
Susan Kessler and Bruce Shaw;
daughter-in-law, Cathy Cordes;
grandchildren, Jonathan, Emily
and Sarah Shaw; many loving
nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
Mrs. Kessler was the beloved
wife for 54 years of the late Dr.
Charles Kessler; the cherished
mother of the late Dr. Daniel
Kessler; the dear mother-in-law
of the late James Slowik; the lov-
ing sister of the late Lenora and
the late Al Dorenfest; the devot-
ed daughter of the late Albert
and the late Bessie Cohen.
Interment was at
Beth El Memorial Park.

ETTA LIPSKY, 88,
of West Bloomfield,
died Nov. 6, 2022.
She was the
beloved wife of the
late Harvey Lipsky;
dear mother of Evelyn (Matt)
Mervis, Patricia Lipsky, Dr.
Jeffrey Lipsky and Ronit Marom
Lipsky; loving grandmother of
Jacob (Scarlett) Mervis, Michael
(Catrina) Lipsky, Daniel Lipsky
and Eric Lipsky; adoring

great-grandmother of Lucas
Mervis; devoted sister of Molly
(the late Peter) Turner; sister-
in-law of Rhea (the late George)
Blum, Jane Williams, Shirley
(the late Abe) Weingrot, the late
Sam Lipton, the late Audrey
(the late Bob) Penskar. She is
also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Interment took place at
Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be made
to Hospice of Michigan, to the
Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy
Network or to a charity that
benefits veterans. Arrangements
by Dorfman Chapel.

BRENDA
PASSER, 82, of
Franklin, died Nov.
7, 2022.
She was born
in 1939 and grew
up during and after the war in
Detroit. She was an exception-
ally beautiful and intelligent
young woman with a great
memory; she was strong-willed
and determined to be success-
ful and to achieve her goals.
Initially, she worked in her
father’s building business.
Brenda was ambitious and
very hard working; owning
several Fantastic Sam’s Beauty
Shops for several years, after
which she became a successful
real estate agent. She married
Sandy in 2000. She had many
lifelong friends who loved her.
Even though the past nine years
contained some medical chal-
lenges for her, she, nevertheless,
was determined to live life to
the fullest, which she did. She
had a wonderful life, especially
with her beloved Sandy.
In addition to her husband,
Sandy, she is survived by her
children, Alana Worth, and
David (Lori) Worth; her step-
children, Bill (Jami) Passer and
