Bookstock 
is Accepting 
Donations

Bookstock, the area’s larg-
est used book and media 
sale, will be welcoming 
donations of gently used 
books, audiobooks, records, 
CDs and DVDs on the first 
Wednesday of the month 
from December 2022 
through March 2023. 
 Donations will be accept-
ed from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 
Congregation Beth Ahm, 
5075 W. Maple Road, West 
Bloomfield, on Dec. 7, 2022; 
Jan. 4, 2023; Feb. 1, 2023; 
and March 1, 2023, at the 
south entrance of the syna-
gogue. 
Donors can also drive 
through and drop off 
their gently used books 
and media at two Sunday 
Colossal Collections at 
Congregation Beth Ahm, 
from noon-2 p.m. p.m. on 
Dec. 11, 2022, and March 
19, 2023.
Bookstock 2023 will run 
April 23-30 at Laurel Park 
Place in Livonia. Bookstock 
is a community service proj-
ect where proceeds from the 
annual weeklong sale benefit 
literacy and education proj-
ects in the City of Detroit, 
and counties throughout 
Metro Detroit and northern 
Michigan. Marking 19 years 
of “supporting the need to 
read,” Bookstock has gener-
ated nearly $2.5 million for 
literacy and education proj-
ects throughout Michigan.
