The event will feature the docu- mentary Iris about 101-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel. FRIENDS is pleased to show- case the Emmy-nominated documentary that illuminates Apfel’s career, including working with nine U.S. presidents on his- torical renovations of the White House and an exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. JSL residents will demonstrate how to age in style by walking the runway in a fashion show highlighting the latest fashions from local retailers. Participants include Hersch’s, Closet NV, Mindy’s Unique Boutique and Matthildur x Mark Keller. “Our donors and volunteers give so much to our residents. They make this a place where people don’t just live, they thrive,” said FRIENDS Director Beth Robinson. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are available.
