Hills are thrilled to announce the birth of their 
daughter, Sloane Harper, named in loving 
memory of her great-grandparents. Also 
welcoming Sloane are proud grandparents 
Jane Smitt of Birmingham, Harvey Hollander of Las 
Vegas, and Jackie and Bob Hoffman of West Bloomfield.

bar mitzvah at

Bloomfield on Friday, Nov. 11, 
2022. He will be joined in 
celebration by his sister 
Evan. Charley is the loving 
grandchild of Carol 
Rubenfaer, Bill Rubenfaer, 
Linda Langlois and Norman 
Gross. 
He is a student at West 
Hills Middle School in 
Bloomfield Hills. Charley’s 
most meaningful mitzvah 
project was preparing life-
saving medical kits for those 
fighting on the front lines in 
Ukraine.

Leora Skye 
Kahan (Leora

mitzvah at

Bloomfield on Saturday, Nov. 
12, 2022. She will be joined 
at her celebration by her

Kahan and Mike Kahan, big

Leora is the loving 
granddaughter of Terry and 
the late David Kahan, Jane 
Steinger, and Linda and 
Lane Steinger. 
Leora is a student at Hillel 
Day School of Metropolitan 

Detroit in Farmington Hills. 
For her mitzvah project, 
she will continue working 
with her grandma Mimi at 
Bookstock, in conjunction 
with the National Council of 
Jewish Women-Michigan, 
supporting the need to read.

Leibovitz, will

congregation in prayer as a

in West Bloomfield on 
Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022. She 
will be joined in celebration 
by her brother Nathan. Julia 
is the loving grandchild of 
Nancy and Stephen Raimi, 
Rena Leibovitz, and Karolyn 
and Arie Leibovitz. 
She is a student at 
Derby Middle School in 
Birmingham. Julia’s most 
meaningful mitzvah project 
was collecting toys to share 
with underprivileged children 
for the holiday season.
