FERN S. KATZ, 
94, of Oak Park, 
Southfield and 
Ann Arbor, died 
Sept. 22, 2022. 
She was a 
teacher for many years in 
the Oak Park Schools and 
a former president of the 
Southfield School Board. 
Mrs. Katz is survived her 
sons and daughters-in-law, 
Ralph and Deborah Katz of 
Ann Arbor, Louis Katz and 
Gail Busch of Corpus Christi, 
Texas; grandchildren, Rachel 
Katz and Aaron Struminger, 
Naomi Katz and Alex Kaplan, 
Samuel and Alyssa Katz, 
Benjamin Katz; great-grand-
children, Leah Josephine 
Struminger; sister-in-law, 
Thelma Victor. She was Aunty 
Faygy to many nieces and 
nephews, grandnieces, grand-
nephews, great-grandnieces 

and great-grandnephews. 
Mrs. Katz was the beloved 
wife of the late Joseph Katz; 
loving mother of the late 
David Katz; dear sister and sis-
ter-in-law of the late Rosalyn 
Metz, the late Leonard and 
the late Lee Metz, the late 
Charlotte and the late Hyman 
Shebowich, the late David 
Metz.

was held at Hebrew Memorial 
Chapel. Interment took place 
at Machpelah Cemetery in

other loving relatives, friends

Mr. Marsch was the devoted 
son of the late Louise and the 
late Melvin Marsch; the dear 
son-in-law of the late Sidney 
Bluestone.

Shalom Memorial Park.
