Lutz 100th
F

ern Lutz of West
Bloomfield is celebrating
her 100th birthday on Oct.
20, 2022. She has led a fun, ful-
filling and happy life. She raised
three children, Candy, Lee and
Lauren, with her late husband,
Sam. She has eight grandchil-
dren and nine great-grandchil-
dren. Her greatest pleasure is
to be with family. Fern loves
to attend activities, especially
playing cards, going to the casi-
no, watching movies and playing bingo. She will have a
family birthday party to honor her special day.

Emma Avery
Song, daughter
of Julie and Dr.
Thomas Song,
will lead the
congregation in
prayer as a bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield on Saturday,
Oct. 22, 2022. Emma will
be joined in celebration by
her brother Aiden. Emma
is the loving grandchild of
Joan and Jerry Frohlich,
and John and the late
Maria Song.
She is a student at Novi
Middle School. Emma’s
most meaningful mitzvah
project was raising money
for the Humane Society of
Huron Valley.

Nathan Hayes
Tennenhouse
(Noteh Chaim)
will be called to
the Torah as a
bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue in Farmington
Hills. Nathan is the son of
Nicole and Mark
Tennenhouse and brother
of Jacob. He is the grand-
son of Erwin and Judy

Rubenstein, and Lenore
and the late Jerry
Tennenhouse.
Nathan is a student at
Larson Middle School in
Troy. For his mitzvah proj-
ect, he designed and cre-
ated a colorful flyer and
ran a Pop Cans for Pets
fundraiser for the Michigan
Humane Society.

Alex Matthew
Witten, son of
Jaimee and
David Witten,
will be called to
the Torah as a
bar mitzvah at Temple
Israel in West Bloomfield
on Saturday, Oct. 22,
2022. He will be joined in
celebration by his brother
Tyler. Alex is the loving
grandchild of Joan and
Jerry Frohlich, and the late
Irith and the late Floyd
Witten. He is a student at
Millennium Middle School
in South Lyon. Alex’s most
meaningful mitzvah
project was raising money
for the American Heart
Association and
participating in the Metro
Detroit Heart and Stroke
Walk & 5K.
