the marriage of their 
daughter Jamie to Noah 
Cahan, son of Gayla and Joel 
Cahan of Flossmoor, Ill.
Jamie graduated from the 
University of Michigan Gerald 
R. Ford School of Public Policy 
and the George Washington 
University Law School. She 
practices as a policy attorney 
and works at a nonprofit 
organization based in Washington, D.C.
Noah earned his professional bachelor’s degree in 
architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology with a 
minor in urban studies and a specialization in city and 
regional planning. He works at an architecture firm in 
the south suburbs of Chicago.
Jamie and Noah were married on July 3, 2022, and 
their dear friend Rabbi Sarah Brammer-Shlay was the 
officiant. The couple live in Chicago.

Jordan’s most meaningful

unteering with Forgotten

Fresh Food Pantry.

Carly Reese

mitzvah at

in Southfield on Saturday, 
Oct. 8, 2022. She will be 
joined in celebration by 
her proud parents, Laurel 
and Joel Schwartz, and 
brother Ryan. Carly is the 
loving granddaughter of 
Carolyn and Mitchell 
Simmer, the late Corinne 
Schwartz, and the late 
Robert and the late 
Rosalyn Schwartz. 
She is a student at 
Hillel Day School of 
Metropolitan Detroit in 
Farmington Hills. For her 
most meaningful mitzvah 
project, Carly volunteered 
with West Bloomfield-
based JARC. She made 
new friends and learned 
about their many wonder-
ful programs.

Max is the son of Sarah

Max is a student at West 
Hills Middle School in 
Bloomfield Hills. His mitz-
vah project, and his most 
memorable experience at 
temple, was volunteering 
as a counselor at Camp 
Teva.

Maya is a student at 
Bloomfield Hills Middle 
School. Her most 
meaningful mitzvah 
project was volunteering 
with NCJW’s Backpack 
Project, filling backpacks 
with school supplies for 
underprivileged students.
