Join Detroit Chamber Winds 
& Strings to celebrate the 
connection among patrons, 
musicians and chamber 
music. At Hunt Street Station, 
2200 Hunt St., Detroit (across 
from Eastern Market). During 
the event, they will auction 
off a private performance 
by DCWS artists to be per-
formed at a location and time 
mutually agreed upon by the 
artist and the individual that 
purchases the lot. Dinner 
with DCWS President Maury 
Okun will also be auctioned. 
This fundraising evening will 
feature wines in the Wine 
Pull, which is a drawing 
for a bottle of wine from a 
wide pool of over 60 wines. 
Guests can purchase a cork 
with a number that corre-
sponds to a random bottle of 
wine in the pool. Each cork 
costs $25, yet wine ranges in 
value from $25 to over $100.

MOTOWN BIKE RIDE

Beth Shalom. Meet in the 
parking lot of Ferndale Foods 
(600 W. Nine Mile Road, 
Ferndale) and ride from that 
point to visit the homes of 
some of Motown’s greatest 
artists. We will be riding as 
a group at an easy pace, 
about 10 miles. Bring water, 
as well as extra bike tubes, 
if you have them. Please 
check tires beforehand. 
Helmets recommended. The 
ride will last approximately 
2 hours, with the obliga-

on Zoom, “A Stage in the 
Wilderness” with Nadav 
Pais-Greenapple. From 
its opening in 1927 to its 
closure in 1939, Littman’s 
People’s Theatre was 
Detroit’s premier destination 
for Yiddish-language theat-
rical performance and film. 
Nadav Pais-Greenapple is a 
second-generation Jewish 
educator from Southfield. 
He teaches Jewish studies
