She was a 
fourth-generation 
Detroiter, grand-
daughter of Rabbi Judah Leib 
Levin and daughter of Lillian 
Keidan Levin and Professor 
Samuel M. Levin. She was 
married 71 years to Bernard 
Cantor. 
She will live on through 
the beautiful community 
and family she created for 
us all: husband, Bernard; 
children, Glenn (Inge Eriks), 
Cliff (Pauline), Jim (Susan), 
Mark (Karen) and Ellen 
who predeceased her in 

2013; grandchildren, Lani 
(Stig Vatland), Alida (Travis

Bloomfield Hills, died July 24,

He is survived by his broth-

Mr. Covensky was the uncle 
of the late Laurice Covensky; 
the son of the late Louis and 
the late Sara Covensky.
