The Zekelman Holocaust 
Center will host a 
virtual storytelling of 
An American Rabbi in 
Buchenwald by author 
and historian Dr. Rafael 
Medoff. The story centers 
around Rabbi Herschel 
Schacter, a chaplain 
whose unit liberated 
the Nazi concentration 
camp of Buchenwald. 

Rabbi Schacter was 
thrust into the role of 
helping survivors rebuild 
their shattered lives and 
serving as their voice 
to the world. Zoom

founding director of the 
David S. Wyman Institute 
for Holocaust Studies 
and the author of more 
than 20 books about the 
Holocaust, Zionism and

The Michigan Shakespeare 
Festival presents its yearly 
show at The Ark, 316 Main 
St. Ann Arbor. This one-
night-only free event has 
been held for the last six 
years. This night of fun 
and laughter lets the MSF 
company sing, dance, play 
music, juggle, improvise, 
tell great backstage stories 
and maybe even do a little 
Shakespeare. It’s a cash 
bar with membership, and 
donations to both The Ark 
and the MSF are always 
welcome.
