JAFFE, 94, of 
Farmington 
Hills, died 
peacefully on 
May 17, 2022. 
She was born in 
Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 
30, 1927, to Sam and Ruth 
Siegel. After the family 
moved to Detroit, she 
graduated from Central 
High School and the 
University of Michigan. 
While raising her 
children in Oak Park, Anne 
taught music for Berkley 
Public Schools, served as 
music director for Jewish 
Parents Institute, gave 
private voice lessons and 
sang professionally with 
the Kenneth Jewell Chorale 
and the Overture to Opera 
program.
In 1986, she earned 
a master of social work 
degree from Wayne 
State University and 
subsequently worked for 
Area Agency on Aging 
until her retirement. 
She was a loving, devoted 
and generous mother, 
grandmother and great-
