In 1975 Michael Serling founded
the firm currently known as Serling
& Abramson, P.C. Michael pioneered
asbestos litigation in Michigan
by filing the first mesothelioma
case in our state. Over the past
five decades the firm developed a
specialty representing victims of

firm now employs 25 people.
Eric Abramson joined the firm in
1989 as an investigator. After seeing
great promise in his work, Michael
encouraged him to finish his
undergraduate degree and continue
on to law school. Eric earned his law
degree in 1997.
Serling & Abramson has
represented over 8,000 plaintiffs
with asbestos related diseases,
including over 100 cases in
Israel. Many have died from
mesothelioma and lung cancer. The
firm also successfully represented
335 Michigan school districts in a
class action, obtaining over $100
million, allowing these school
districts to remove asbestos from
their buildings, thus making them
safer for our children, teachers and
building occupants.
Through the years the firm has
extended its practice to incorporate
other areas of complex litigation
such as representing individuals
injured by defective medical
devices, Roundup weed killer
