Words of Hope 4 Life is a
nonprofit with a mission to
develop and implement new
and innovative ways to inte-
grate mental wellness into
communities; specifically, but
not limited to, during times of
crisis.
The organization is plan-
ning a new mental health
event: Zoofest — The Wild
Walk 4 Mental Health, to be
held at the Detroit Zoo on July
10 from 8 a.m. to noon. At
the event, participants will be
encouraged to walk 1.7 miles
around the zoo and engage in
activities for kids and families.
This day of family fun
includes an event T-shirt,
complimentary food, activ-
ities, scavenger hunt, raffle,
music and so much more.
“It’s a mental health walk in
a premier community loca-
tion that’s fun for the whole
family,” said Words of Hope 4
Life President Glen Schwartz.

All proceeds benefit our local
communities by increasing
mental health resources avail-
able specifically during, but
not limited to, times of crisis.”
Tickets are $40 and available
on Eventbrite.com. This is a
private event not associated
with the Detroit Zoo. As such,
zoo memberships do not qual-
ify for discount.
