ERIC “RICKY” FISHMAN, 75, 
died Feb. 21, 2022, in Hanover, 
Pa. 
He was born in Pittsburgh, 
grew up in Michigan and spent 
his adult years in Maryland and 
Pennsylvania. Ricky was a jew-
elry designer and worked as a 

jewelry salesman. 
Mr. Fishman is survived by 
his wife, Chandra; son, Nikolas; 
sister and brother-in-law, Penny 
and Harvey Brode; niece and 
nephew, Heidi Brode and Joel 
Krugel; great-nieces, Darby 
Krugel and Cami Krugel; neph-
ew, Gary Brode; uncle, Herb 
Fishman. 
He was the beloved son of 
Dorothy and Morris Fishman. 
Interment will be in Hanover, 
Pa.
Contributions may be made 
to the American Kidney Fund 
or to a charity of one’s choice.

MARLENE GITELMAN, 74, of 
Ann Arbor, died Jan. 24, 2022. 
She is survived by her hus-
band of 52½ years, Professor 
Zvi Gitelman; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Yitzhak Gitelman 
and Jennifer Bernstein of 
Engelwood, N. J.; daughter and 
son-in-law, Miriam Gitelman 

and Uri Sobel of Englewood; 
brother and sister-in-law, 
Yehuda and Rivka Cern of 
Israel; sister and brother-in-
law, Naomi and Mayer Rubin 
of Allentown, Pa.; grandchil-
dren, David Gitelman, Yakira 
Gitelman, Benjamin Gitelman,

CATHRINE ANNE 
MILLER 
GOLDBERG, 84, of 
Plymouth, died 
Feb. 18, 2022. 
Cathrine, a wife, 
grandmother and all-around 
remarkable woman, was born in 

New York City in 1937, the only 
child of Hannah Stone Miller 
and Sam Miller. 
After earning her bachelor’s 
degree from Hunter College 
and her master’s from Cornell 
University, she moved to 
Detroit to start her career. Once 
in Detroit, she met and married 
Lawrence Goldberg. During 
their 52 years, they built a rich, 
rewarding life, career and fam-
ily. 
Incredibly smart, wickedly 
sharp and unforgettably funny, 
Cathrine had a laugh that was 
one of the most wonderful the 
world has ever heard. More 
than anything, she was an 
incredible mother and grand-
mother. 
Mrs. Goldberg was pre-
ceded in death by husband 
Lawrence. She is survived by 
her sister-in-law, Adrienne Guss 
(Sanford); son, David; grand-
daughter, Ava, of who she was
