“Quints at the Kirk,” Kirk in the Hills,

of Monuments by Adolphus Hailstork,
Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings’ next
concert presents two quintet perfor-
mances. Hailstork’s piece, written for
trombone and strings, is commissioned
for the Resonate series, exploring the
African diaspora through chamber
music. The piece is followed by Franz
Schubert’s Trout Quintet. General
