Erin Lindsay to Drew Garen, 
son of Dr. Gary and Maryann 
Zamanigian of Bloomfield Hills. 
Erin earned her bachelor 
of science in psychology 
from Wayne State University 
and is working as a law clerk 
for a bankruptcy law firm in 
Southfield. 
Drew earned his bachelor of arts in sociology from 
Madonna and his master’s in clinical psychology from 
Palm Beach Atlantic University. He is a business analyst 
at a subrogation firm in Bloomfield Hills. 
Erin is the granddaughter of the late Marilyn and 
Bernie Harwood, and the late Elayne Harelik. Drew is 
the grandson of Jean and the late Zory Sarkisian, and 
the late Leo and Victoria Zamanigian. 
A July wedding is planned. 

Danto 90th

uthye Danto turned 90 on 
Nov. 17, 2021. She is the 
daughter of the late Sarah 
and Harry Friedberg and sister 
of the late Lloo Seidman. Ruthye 
is married to Charles Danto, 90; 
together they have four children, 
Irwin (Karen) Danto, Beth (Bob) 
Borson, Debby Farber and Jay 
(Debbie) Danto. Their grandchil-
dren are Lauren (Steven) Bloom, 
Lindsey (Joe) Hill, Joel (Devonie) 
Danto, Adam Borson, Harris 
Farber, Josh (Jenna) Borson, Ashley (Nathan) Silverman, 
Samantha and Jilian Danto. Great-grandchildren are 
Parker and Asher Bloom, Lucas, Jackson, Aiden and Grace 
Hill, Ava and Levi Borson, Ezra Danto, and Eden and Isla 
Silverman. They celebrated at a family brunch.

and become a bat mitzvah

Nov. 26, 2021. Emily will be 
joined by brother Ian and 
proud grandparents Mardi 
and David Rosenberg of 
Las Vegas, Nev., and Kay 
and Bob Weprin of Toledo, 
Ohio. 
Emily is a seventh-grader 
at Cranbrook Kingswood 
girls’ middle school in 
Bloomfield Hills. Her mitz-
vah project was making 
and donating blankets and 
other needed supplies to a 
homeless shelter in Wayne 
County.

Ari Benjamin 
Salama will be 
called to the 
Torah as a bar 
mitzvah at 
Congregation 
Shaarey Zedek in 
Southfield on Saturday, 
Nov. 27, 2021. Participating 
in the ceremony will be par-
ents, Rebecca Abel and Joe 
Buick, Dr. David and Pauline 
Salama; and brothers Elliot 
and Oliver. Proud grandpar-
ents are Dr. Joseph and 
Rita Salama of Farmington 
Hills, and Dr. Ernest and 
Barbara Abel of West 
Bloomfield. 
Ari is a student at Hillel 
Day School of Metropolitan 
Detroit in Farmington Hills. 

Sophia Hannah 
Snyder, daugh-
ter of Hayley and 
Mark Snyder, will 
lead the congre-
gation in prayer 
as she becomes a bat mitz-
vah at Temple Israel in 
West Bloomfield on Friday, 
Nov. 26, 2021. She is the 
grandchild of Francie and 
Gary Snyder, Paul Alekman 
and the late Ann Alekman. 
She will be joined in cele-
bration by her sister Leila 
Snyder.
Sophia is a student at 
West Hills Middle School 
in Bloomfield Hills. For her 
mitzvah project, she made 
cookies to sell; she donated 
all profits to the American 
Cancer Society. 

Ari Jakob Wolfe 
will read from 
the Torah as he 
becomes a bar 
mitzvah at 
Temple Israel in 
West Bloomfield on 
Saturday, Nov 27, 2021. He 
will be joined in celebration 
by his proud parents, Sarah 
and Todd Wolfe, and sister 
Micole. Ari is the grandchild 
of Laurie and Howard 
Novetsky, and the late Avis 
and Harold Wolfe.
He attends West Hills 
Middle School in Bloomfield 
Hills. As part of his mitzvah 
project, Ari ran a shoe drive 
through the Soles4Souls 
organization, which helps 
provide relief, creates jobs 
and empowers people to 
break the cycle of poverty. 
He found this experience to 
be very meaningful.
