“Outsmarting
Antisemitism, How to
Beat It with Purpose,
Positivity and Jewish
Pride” is a new four-
part course taught by
Rabbi Levi Dubov of
the Chabad Jewish
Center of Bloomfield
Hills.
 Using history,
Talmudic sources, Jewish
mysticism and contemporary
expert analysis, the course
addresses some of the ques-
tions we grapple with as indi-
viduals and as a community.
 Why does antisemitism
persist? How can we make
the hate go away? What are
the dos and the don’ts in
combatting the hate? How
can we counter Israel-focused
antisemitism and prevent our
own youth from unwittingly
lending their voices to antise-
mitic agendas?
 “Many Jews are anxious
about rising antisemitism
today and worry about how to
respond to it,
” Rabbi Dubov
told the Jewish News. “By
exploring the mechanics of
antisemitism from a uniquely
Jewish perspective and prob-
ing historical strategies for
reducing it, this course offers
a revolutionary framework for
confronting it head-on with

purpose, positivity and
pride.
”
The course is CE-
accredited for medical
and mental-health pro-
fessionals in Michigan.
The four-week
course will be offered
with three class
options: Wednesday
mornings, 11 a.m.-
12:30 p.m., beginning Nov.
3, in-person and via Zoom;
Wednesday evenings, 7:30-
9 p.m., beginning Nov. 3,
in-person and via Zoom;
and Thursday afternoons,
noon-1:30 p.m., beginning
Nov. 4, exclusively on Zoom.
The in-person classes will be
held safely at the Farber Soul
Center, 5586 Drake Road in
West Bloomfield.
The course fee is $80 and
includes the course textbook,
with discounts available
for couples and groups.
Scholarships are available
upon request.
This course is sponsored in
loving memory of Sylvia and
Herbert Cyrlin, by their son
Dr. Marshall Cyrlin.
