JARC is a nonprofit non-
sectarian organization 
founded in 1969 by a group of 
parents concerned about the 
future of their children with 
developmental disabilities. 
Today JARC is known as a 
prototype for innovative, high-
quality residential and support 
programs for people with 
developmental disabilities. 
JARC serves more than 150 
people in 80 different settings 
in Oakland County, including 
group homes, independent 
living and in-home respite care.

The heart of a stronger 
community, we provide 
older-adult services such as 
case management, door-
through-door transportation, 
Kosher Meals on Wheels and 
Holocaust survivor assistance; 
mental health and wellness 
services, such as counseling 
suicide prevention trainings 
and youth/school-based 
services; safety net services, 
such as basic needs assistance, 
public benefits enrollment 
and health care navigation. 
We also provide outreach to 
the Orthodox and Russian-
speaking communities.
