“Nooooo! So sad! I had no
idea there was a Jewish com-
munity up there! If I had
known I would have done
something to try to help!”

“Thanks for the story on the
closing of the Iron Mountain
shul. My father, Harry Cutler;
grandfather Meyer Cutler,
uncles and cousins, the

Cohodes family, were mem-
bers. Todah from Greensboro,
North Carolina … I learned
of the story from some
Michiganders, the Gers family,
who recalled that my family
had links to Iron Mountain.
My cousin in Elat, Israel, has
the story. Too bad my brothers
are no longer alive to relish the
story. I sent several Cohodes
relatives the story. Happy
Chanukah early.”

some up there”
