Michigan in 1952. Together
they had five children and

Family meant the absolute

She always took great
delight in such simple
pleasures as daily phone
conversations with family and
friends, catching up on life
events of those near and far.
Isabel also took great pride in
her involvement as an original
member of the Birmingham

Temple and her association
with Rabbi Sherwin Wine.
Isabel was the beloved
wife of Seymour for 51
years before his passing in
2004. She was the loving
mother of Deborah Vander,

Vander, Elizabeth (Libby)
Crawford and James. She

and Jessica Vander (children
of Annette Chang), Caroline,
William and Eliza Vander
(children of Janice Gault);
great-grandmother (GiGi) of
