However, a picture sent to me this morning on Facebook may provide, what we call in Hebrew: hatzie nechama, or half a comfort. It showed a Jewish Israeli wearing a tallit standing in prayer next to a Magen David vehicle, and to his right a Muslim praying on a prayer mat. If this notion of being in this together will endure, perhaps there is now a better hope for peace between Arab and Jew in my native Israel.
