During Detroit Homecoming 
week, Sept. 18-20, house par-
ties were organized in neigh-
borhoods throughout the 
city. The event at Chabad of 
Greater Downtown Detroit 
was held as a bonfire in the 
backyard and had 90 guests, 
including expats and local 

leaders.
This year, former 
Detroiters Michael Budman 
and Don Green, founders 
of Roots, told their story to 
inspire the next generation. 
The event was organized 
by Adam Finkel and Perry 
Teicher.

Volunteers of the Year were 
also recognized. The event was
