Clouser of Oak Park, with

David Abrams of Providence, R.I., and 
New York City, joyfully announce the 
engagement of their children Rena 
Wexelberg-Clouser to 
Dr. Aaron Wachtenheim 
Abrams. 
Ms. Wexelberg-Clouser earned a 
B.A. from the University of Michigan 
and an M.A. and Ed. M in school 
psychology from Teachers College, 
Columbia University. She is employed as the school mental health 
director of planning and partnerships at the NYC Department of Health. 
Dr. Abrams earned his B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania and 
his M.D. at Tel Aviv University Medical School. He is completing his 
pediatric neurology residency at SUNY Downstate. In July 2020, he will 
complete a fellowship in pediatric neuro immunology at UCSF. 
A November wedding is planned followed by a honeymoon in 
Cancun.

Sobol will be 
called to the Torah 
to become a bar 
mitzvah on 
Saturday, Nov. 2, 
2019, at Adat Shalom 
Synagogue in Farmington Hills. 
He will share this joyous mile-
stone with his twin brother Ezra 
Sobol. He will be joined in cele-
bration by his proud parents, 
Jennifer and Louis Sobol. Also 
sharing this simchah will be 
proud grandparents Bobbie and 
Don Blitz of West Bloomfield, 
and Evelyn and Bernard Sobol 
of Pittsburgh, Pa. 
Ruben is a seventh-grader 
at West Hills Middle School in 
Bloomfield Hills. For his mitz-
vah project, he volunteered 
this summer at C.A.R.E.S. 
(Community Action Resources 
Empowerment Services) in 
Farmington Hills, where he 
helped clean out, renovate and 
build a community center.

Bloomfield on Saturday, Nov. 2, 
2019. Joining in his celebration 
will be his proud parents, Amy 
and Evan Sparago, and brother 
Ryan. He is the loving grand-
child of Sharon and Richard 
Maddin, Carol and Michael 
Corman, and the late Mildred 
and Martin Sparago. 
A.J. is a student at Hillel Day 
School of Metropolitan Detroit 
in Farmington Hills. As part 
of his mitzvah experience, he 
volunteered at Temple Israel for 
the Free Fresh Food Pantry. He 
found helping to combat hun-
ger in the community to be the 
most meaningful of his many 
mitzvah projects.

Levin will share the bimah at 
Temple Israel in West Bloomfield 
on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, as they 
lead the congregation in prayer on 
the occasion of their b’
nai mitzvah. 
They will be joined in celebration 
by their proud parents, Emily and 
Peter Levin, and brother Wyatt 
Ziggy Levin. Mina and Parker are 
the loving grandchildren of Ingrid 
and Sidney Grossberg, and Marilyn 
and Marty Levin. 
They attend Birmingham 
Covington School. They performed 
many mitzvah projects, but each 
felt one was most rewarding; 
for Mina, an animal lover, it was 
volunteering and raising funds for 
Save the Turtles; for Parker, it was 
volunteering at Miracle League of 
Michigan baseball games.

Samantha Rose 
Pollack, daughter of 
Nicole and Jimmy 
Pollack, will lead the 
congregation in 
prayer as she 
becomes a bat mitzvah at Temple 
Israel in West Bloomfield on 
Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. She will be 
joined in celebration by her broth-
ers Jack, Dylan and Levi and 
proud grandparents Rodela and Dr. 
David Kaplan, Brenda Kaplan, and 
Joanna and Robert Pollack. She is 
the great-grandchild of the late 
Gertrude and Seymour Kaplan, the 
late Lorraine and Alvin Pollack, the 
late Irene and Oscar Bean, and the 
late Jeanette and Sam Moskowitz. 
Samantha is a student at West 
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield 
Hills. As part of her most mean-
ingful mitzvah project, she sewed 
and created “inspirational pillows,” 

colorful pillows with a motivational 
message, for pediatric patients at 
Beaumont Children’
s Hospital.

and Glenn Saltsman 
of Huntington Woods, 
became a bar mitz-
vah at Temple Shir Shalom in West 
Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. 19, 
2019. Sharing in his celebration 
were his siblings Carly and Tatum. 
Jack is the grandson of Barbara 
and Allan Saltsman, and Annie and 
Ron Lowy. 
Jack is a student at Norup 
Middle School in Oak Park. One of 
his mitzvah projects was volun-
teering at the Southwest Detroit 
Environmental Vision, which he 
found very rewarding
