Radin was born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, to a Jewish family of Polish, German, Austrian and Russian background. He became a favorite of Ellen DeGeneres and has appeared on several of her shows. DeGeneres invited Radin to sing his compo- sition “Today,” a favorite song of hers, at her wedding with Portia de Rossi.
