ary Liz Curtin,
co-owner of Leon &
Lulu, and Michigan
restaurateur Matt Prentice
opened their
upscale dining
and retail concept
last month at 116
W
. 14 Mile Road
in Clawson.
Always on
one another’
s
radar, Curtin and
Prentice met last
year. By the end of
their initial conversation, the
pair agreed to bring the people
of Detroit a retail and restau-
rant concept like no other.
“I have admired Matt’
s
food and knack for service
for many years,
” said Curtin.
“I cannot imagine starting a
restaurant with anyone else.
Three Cats will make Leon &
Lulu a complete destination
where guests can enjoy fine
meals as well as great shop-
ping.
”
Three Cats’
 American small
plates menu, with an emphasis
on Michigan’
s bounty, will be
served among the high-end
furniture and gifts Leon &
Lulu is known to offer.
“I’
m so excited to be back in

the kitchen doing what I love,
”
said Prentice. “I’
ve created a
seasonally inspired menu with
items you won’
t find anywhere
else, served in an
atmosphere unlike
any other restaurant.
”
The introductory
menu features light-
er fare using rare
ingredients such
as Michigan Wild
Chinook salmon
and locally foraged
Pawpaw fruit. Small
plates include fish, poultry,
pork, beef, and vegetarian and
vegan options.
Three Cats has a full bar
stocked with Michigan craft
beer, American wines and
spirits with a special emphasis
on Detroit and Ferndale dis-
tilleries.

Thursday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.,
