A little rain couldn’
t stop
an army of friendship and
love. More than a thou-
sand people flooded onto
Walnut Lake Road Sept. 1 for
Friendship Circle’
s 14th annual
Walk4Friendship.
The event is the largest
fundraiser of the year for the
West Bloomfield-based non-
profit that provides help and
support to 3,000 local indi-
viduals with special needs and

their families.
This year’
s walk raised
$525,000 and featured free
entertainment, including a
pogo stick performance by the
Xpogo Stunt Team.
“We all want people to
see us for who we really are
inside as a beautiful soul,”
Friendship Circle co-founder
Rabbi Levi Shemtov told the
crowd. “We thank every single
one of you.”
