The Jewish Women’s Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit has awarded $3.5 million through 350 grants 

over the last 20 years. JWF grants have helped to provide respite to single Jewish mothers with special 

needs children; connect synagogues and temples in Northern Michigan to share resources; provide free legal 

assistance to Jewish women; raise awareness of domestic abuse; provide job training to Jewish women; send 

children of single mothers to camp and to pre-school; provide educational programs about substance abuse
