ane Smitt of Birmingham and 
Harvey Hollander of Las Vegas, Nev., 
together with Robert and Jacqueline 
Hoffman of West Bloomfield, are elated 
to announce the engagement of their 
children Julia Beth Hollander and Jared 
Daniel Hoffman. 
Julia graduated from Indiana 
University with a bachelor of science 
degree and went on to pursue a nursing 
degree at Wayne State University. She is 
employed as a labor and delivery RN. 
Jared graduated from Michigan State 
University’
s James Madison College with 
a degree in social relations and policy. He works as an account manager in 
the supply chain industry. 
A May 2020 wedding is planned.

their 50th wedding anniversary on 
Aug. 17, 2019. They are the proud 
parents of Joshua (Dana) and Robert 
(Jennifer) and the loving grandparents 
of Ben, Leah, Lily, Jack and Greyson.
