July 9, 2019.
He is survived by his 
beloved wife, Barbara 
Garfinkel; daughter, 
Alisa Bailog; son and daughter-in-
law, David and Tracy Garfinkel; 
grandchildren, Jennifer Economy, 
Noah, Landon and Hayden Garfinkel; 
many loving nieces, nephews, other 
family members and friends. 
Mr. Garfinkel was the father of the 
late Ronna Lynn Economy; brother of 
the late Lewis Garfinkel and the late 
Dora Rowe.
Interment took place at Machpelah 
Cemetery in Ferndale. Contributions 
may be made to St. Jude Children’

NEAL HERMAN, 73, 
of White Lake 
Township, died July 8, 
2019. 
He is survived by his 
wife of 35 years and 
friend for more than 
60 years, Maxine Herman; son, Zack 
Herman of White Lake Township; 
sister, Polly Carpenter of Southfield; 
sister-in-law, Arlene Niskar; his faith-
ful dog, Reba Herman.
Mr. Herman was the dear brother 
of the late Shayle Herman.

Zackary and Zoey Zemmol; sisters-
in-law, Josephine Simon and Brenda 
Karr; many loving nieces, nephews,

Mrs. Lesson was the sister of the 
late Edward Simon, the late Marjorie 
Kaufman and the late Stanley Simon.

El Memorial Park Cemetery in

2019. Phil was a radiol-
ogist in Toledo for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 
daughter, Michelle (Ronald) Saltz 
of Larchmont, N.Y.; son, Jared 
(Lange) Silverman of Atlanta, Ga.; 
granddaughters, Ally and Hannah 
Saltz; brother, Dr. Raymond (Alice) 
Silverman of Highland Park, Ill.; 
sister, Lois (Robert) Kaplow of 
Farmington Hills; nieces, nephews 
and countless friends. 
Dr. Silverman was predeceased 
by his parents, Joseph and Ruth 
Silverman.
Memorial services were held at IJ 
Morris Star of David Cemetery, West
