aurice Reizen of Novi, for-
mer director of the Michigan
Department of Public Health,
celebrated his 100th birthday on Feb. 24,
2019. Wishing him a happy birthday at
this noteworthy event were his children,
Mark and Jen Reizen, and Nancy and
Howard Serlin; his grandchildren, Jason
Reizen, Jennifer Matley, Daniel and Miry
Serlin, David and Dana Serlin; and his
great-grandchildren, Andrew and Leia
Serlin, Lucy and Olivia Serlin, Molly and
Cameron Matley.

lizabeth and Aaron Sherbin
of Birmingham are thrilled to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Katherine Brooke Sherbin to
Zachary Phillip Simon, son of Jan and
Jonathan Simon of Reading, Pa.
Katherine graduated from the University
of Michigan, majoring in psychology
and linguistics, and George Washington
University with a master’
s in speech
language pathology. She works for the
Chicago Public School System.
Zach graduated from the Ross School of
Business at the University of Michigan with a business degree and is attend-
ing the University of Chicago Law School.
The couple reside in Chicago and will be married in Michigan in October.

Kaczander were married recently
at the Inn of the Seventh Ray in
Topanga, Calif. Close friend of the bride
and groom Max Aronson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and
Barbara Lyons of Fairfield, Conn. The
groom is the son of Bruce and Karen
Kaczander of West Bloomfield.
Aaron and Maggie will honeymoon in
Japan this spring and happily reside in Los
Angeles, Calif.
