Born in Brussels, Belgium, Reggie sur- vived the Holocaust as a hidden child in sever- al Catholic orphanages. She immigrated with her parents, Hela and Kiva Gilbert, to the U.S. in 1950 and lived in Detroit. There she met Manuel Rosenbaum, who wooed her and won her love. All who knew Reggie appreciated her sassy sense of humor, her intelli- gence and her love of family. Mrs. Rosenbaum is survived by her husband of 63 years, Manny; sons, Michael (Janet), Harold and Andrew (Sue); grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph. Interment was held at Hebrew Memorial Park. BEV MORRIS ROSENTHAL, 82, of Oak Park, died Dec. 25, 2018. She was born on Feb. 29, 1936. She enjoyed playing tennis and water-skiing. “She water-skied into her late 70s,” husband Jerry Rosenthal said. Mrs. Rosenthal loved animals and always put the needs of others first. “She had a heart of gold,” daughter Lynn Rosenthal said. She made the ordinary beautiful, turning bland rocks into charming mementos by painting animal faces on them and giving them to family. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Rosenthal; dear mother of Mark, Lynn (George Hunter) and Debra (Frank) Cummings; loving grand- mother of Jessica Rosenthal and James Rosenthal; loving daughter of the late Harry Morris and the late Peggy Morris; caring and beloved sis- ter-in-law of Herb (late Barbara) Goodwin, Joyce (the late Bill) Nadler, Burt (Ann) Rosenthal; beloved sister of the late Shirley Morris; many niec- es and nephews and a world full of family and friends.
