PAULA MARKS
KALT, 72, of West
Bloomfield, died Dec.
20, 2018.
She was a dedicated
elementary school
teacher in the Detroit
Public Schools for many years. Her
love, devotion and caring for family,
friends and those in need had no
boundaries.
Mrs. Kalt is survived by her
beloved husband of 51 years, Melvyn
Kalt; daughter, Julie (Robert)
Greenfield; son, Brian (Sara) Kalt;
grandsons, Fredrick and James
Greenfield, Benjamin, Jonathan, and
Daniel Kalt; sister, Elizabeth (Eliot)
Bank; many loving nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
Interment was at Beth
Abraham Cemetery in Ferndale.
Contributions may be made to the

at Jewish Senior Life; Hebrew
Free Loan or the American Civil

BEV MORRIS
ROSENTHAL, 82, of
Oak Park, died Dec.
25, 2018.
She was born on
Feb. 29, 1936. She
enjoyed playing tennis
and water-skiing. “She water-skied
into her late 70s,” husband Jerry
Rosenthal said.
Mrs. Rosenthal loved animals and
always put the needs of others first.
“She had a heart of gold,” daughter
Lynn Rosenthal said. She made the
ordinary beautiful, turning bland
rocks into charming mementos by
painting animal faces on them and
giving them to family.
Mrs. Rosenthal is survived by
her husband of 58 years, Gerald
Rosenthal; son, Mark Rosenthal of
Belleville; daughters and sons-in-
law, Debra (Frank) Cummings of
Madison Heights, Lynn (George
Hunter) Rosenthal of Oak Park;
grandchildren, Jessie Rosenthal,
Jamie Rosenthal.
The family has requested that
contributions be sent directly
to the family for their disburse-
ment. Interment was held at
Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.

LEONARD ROSS, 83,
of Farmington Hills,
died Dec. 21, 2018.
He is survived by
his wife of 55 years,
Valerie Ross; daugh-
ter, Anita Ross; son
and daughter-in-law, Brian and
Josephine Ross; grandchildren,
Mathew Hamill, Adam Hamill,
Rocco Ross and Sofia Ross; sister,
Carol Plotnick.
Mr. Ross was the cherished father
of the late Andrew David Ross.
