and gelato makers on an hour-long adventure to
learn how they transform local milk into delicious
cheese and gelato. On this tour, you will get to
observe mozzarella stretching as well as taste

the makers how the cheese is made. After the
tour, make time for tasting in the Cream Top Shop

The House on Poe Street

The Detroit Repertory Theatre features the world
premiere production of The House on Poe Street
by Fengar Gael, opening Thursday, Jan. 10, at
8:30 p.m. This dark comedy weaves science fic-
tion, fantasy and horror into a comedic tale about
twins’
plans to feminize the world. The play is
narrated by Mendel Steingold, a real estate lawyer
who tells the tale of when he was handed the
keys to the estate of a
renowned and controversial
gene-editing scientist reputed to have been where
Poe wrote The Raven. Twin sisters inherited the
house and want Mendel’
s help to use their powers
for good. The cast includes Michael Lopetrone,
Ashley M. Lyle, Sara Catheryn Wolf and Harold
Jurkiewicz. The play runs through March 17.
